MedExel Joins Forces with a Japanese Specialized Company to Enter the South American Diabetes Market
[By Seo Min-ji , Medipana News] The domestic diabetes consumables manufacturer MedExel Co., Ltd. and the U.S. subsidiary of Japanese needle manufacturer NIPRO recently signed an exclusive supply agreement for insulin pen needles.
MedExel, a specialized manufacturer of insulin pen needles, is already globally certified and exports its pen needles across Europe and the U.S.
However, despite registering with INVIMA in 2015 and ANVISA in 2016, its initial entry into the South American market did not achieve significant success.
Recognizing the need for a solid foothold to penetrate the vast Latin American diabetes market, with over 30 million patients, MedExel secured this agreement.
MedExel’s Executive Director of Sales, Shin Jae-a, stated, “The collaboration with NIPRO is not limited to the South American market but also extends to potential cooperation with NIPRO’s global branches. We aim to showcase MedExel’s superior quality worldwide.”
Currently, MedExel is expanding its reach globally through collaboration with NIPRO’s four regional subsidiaries, extending into Southeast Asia, the Middle East, the CIS region, and beyond.
