MedExel Wins 5 Million Dollar Export Tower in 2015

On December 7, 2015, MedExel Co., Ltd., a company specializing in insulin pen needles, received the “5 Million Dollar Export Tower” at the 52nd Trade Day event organized by the Korea International Trade Association (KITA). This award is presented to companies that achieve export sales of over USD 5 million in a year, from July of the previous year to June of the current year.

MedExel’s insulin pen needles are certified with the European CE (Conformity European) mark and U.S. FDA approval, enabling their export to international markets. Recently, the company successfully obtained the INVIMA certification in Colombia, a country with high entry barriers for exports, and began exporting to the local market. MedExel continues to expand its export markets beyond Europe and North America to include China, Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and South America. Notably, in May of this year, the company successfully exported 3 million pen needles (one container) to Iran. Additionally, MedExel was selected as a Leading Global Procurement Company under KOTRA’s 2015 Global Procurement Project (P300) program, positioning itself as a key player in international procurement.

In particular, MedExel is making continuous efforts to develop new products, following its domestically distributed 32-gauge insulin pen needles. The company is set to launch its new 33G and 34G products, which feature consistent outer diameter sizes, making them unique not only in the domestic market but also globally.
